While Rihanna told her fans in an MTV interview that her new album, "R8" will be worth the wait, the R&B princess also admitted that she isn’t a fan of her earlier hits. Backing up critics who say that her songs are not in for the long run, the “FourFiveSeconds” singer said she wants her music to be more “timeless.”

Rihanna boasts a long list of chart-topping singles and albums, but even she thinks that her music will not stand the test of time, She Knows reported. She revealed that most of her hits were just big songs but didn’t feel like her and now she does not even want to perform them on stage. She further implied that she wanted to perform songs that are "timeless" and those she could connect with emotionally.“Not that they weren’t real music, but I just wanted to focus on things that felt real, that felt soulful, that felt forever.” she said, adding, “I wanted an album that I could perform in 15 years -- not any songs that were burnt out.”

According to Us Magazine, RiRi apparently still performs all the songs that contributed to the upsurge of her career, despite expressing her dislike towards them. “Umbrella” (2007), Live Your Life (2008), “Run This Town” (2009) and “Rude Boy” (2010), which were the speculated songs that she said didn’t feel real, were some of the hits included in last summer’s tour with Eminem. Currently, she is working on her eighth album, which features a collaboration with Kanye West and Paul McCartney. There is no release date for the album as of the moment.
