A season ends and so is another life at the Hamptons. Revenge just put a fitting finale to a run that could easily come to mind as a sum of hits and misses.

Thankfully, the closer lived up to what the fans actually wanted to see - revelation after revelation. It answered many of the questions hovering above their heads and quite neatly prepared the stage for what's to come in the next season. One of these by the way is the confirmation of the buzz that fans will no longer see frontrunner Mike Kelly in season three.

Anyway, not only are there revelations, the finale will also witness the demise of one character, someone who has been in the series since day one.

It's time to say bye to Declan. Dec (Connor Paolo) said his last goodbye to his brother Jack (Nick Wechsler) through a message that he was able to record on his cell phone moments before he passed on. Blame it on Conrad (Henry Czerny) who decided to blow up Grayson Global while Dec was inside trying to look for Charlotte (Christa B. Allen). Dec sustained wounds from the blast that led to his demise. Dec saying goodbye to Jack was an emotional scene only a heart of stone won't feel.

Then the revelations...Who is the Initiative? Many fans used to complain about the identity of this hugely mysterious corporation that is at work behind every misfortune at the Hamptons. This is one of the loose ends that was tied in the finale. Or so fans would like to think, as Conrad goes on to say "There is no initiative." Way to craft the message short of saying it was Conrad all along! Conrad just wins the fans' votes as the most appalling human ever, hands down.

And the biggest reveal. The highlight shocker was to come from Emily (Emily VanCamp) herself as she admits to Jack that she is the real Amanda Clarke! This shocking admission is something that could alter the revenge plans of Emily and the course of the series as a whole. The plot just became even thicker, how will Jack accept Emily's confession?

As season three beckons, here are more questions waiting for answers. Where is Emily's British beau (Barry Sloane)? Is he dead? Who murdered him, is it Daniel (Josh Bowman)? As for Patrick, Victoria's (Madelaine Stowe) long gone son, the show managed to made him appear without really revealing his face. Who could be the one playing him? Season three is surely loaded to tell...
