After being relatively successful on consoles, game publisher Capcom has announced that “Resident Evil: Revelations 2” will be coming out next month for Sony’s handheld platform, the PlayStation Vita. Both physical and digital versions of “Resident Evil: Revelations 2” for the PS Vita will contain all the episodes that have come out in previous platforms, plus two bonus episodes that are exclusive to the Vita version as well as two exclusive characters for Raid mode.

The PlayStation Blog has stated that the two bonus episodes will be called “The Struggle” and “Little Miss,” focusing on Moira and the mysterious girl Natalia, respectively. “The Struggle” will centre on Moira and her struggle to survive in the island between the departure of Claire and the arrival of Barry. “Little Miss” will be about Natalia and the nature of her powers.

In addition to the extra episodes, the Vita version of “Resident Evil: Revelations 2” will also come with two new characters for the game’s acclaimed Raid Mode: Hunk and the series’ longtime antagonist Albert Wesker. An article from Siliconera confirmed that players would be able to use the two characters in all the more than 200 missions of the mode, which also supports online multiplayer. An upcoming update of the game will add ad-hoc multiplayer.

Other content coming to the PS Vita version of the survival-horror game include multiple costumes for all the characters, a throwback map pack to older locations from previous games and multiple storage expansions for weapons and items. Natalia will be the only character that is restricted to the Story Mode and the same holds true for her alternate costume in the game, while the other costumes for other characters will be available for Story Mode and Raid Mode.

“Resident Evil: Revelations 2” is coming to the PlayStation Vita next month on Aug. 18 for both retail stores and the PlayStation Network. “Revelations 2” is also available for the PlayStation 4, Xbox One, PlayStation 3, Xbox 360 and the Windows PC. The game was released for consoles earlier this year, while developer Frima Studio ported the console version and all its episodes to the Vita.
