Release date of 'Uncharted 4: A Thief's End' delayed by Naughty Dog
The most-awaited conclusion to the “Uncharted” series for the PlayStation 4 is scheduled to come next year in the first-quarter of 2016. However, the franchise developer, Naughty Dog recently announced that fans may have to wait a while longer to see how “Uncharted 4: A Thief’s End” unfolds.
The creative and game director of “Uncharted 4: A Thief’s End” Neil Druckmann and Bruce Straley took to the official blog of PlayStation to announce that the development team will push the release date of the game. Instead of the promised March 18 launch, “Uncharted 4: A Thief’s End” will now launch on April 26. Exactly five weeks after the planned launch.
The duo explains that although the game is near completion, the development team is looking to improve “Uncharted 4: A Thief’s End” more. Since it will be the last game in the franchise, Naughty Dog is assuring that the game reaches the team’s vision and standards.
“However, as we approached our final deadlines and started wrapping up the game’s levels, we realized that several key sequences needed extra resources to bring them to the finish line. After carefully considering all of our options, we decided to extend our schedule, making sure that we get a few more polish passes before submitting our gold master (the final disc for manufacturing),” the pair explained.
Fans took to the comment section to express what they feel about the delay. The comments section of the blog is filled with patience and understanding as they believe that the delay will eventually benefit both the development team and the players.
Meanwhile, fans could get a better look at the gameplay of “Uncharted 4: A Thief’s End.” The new gameplay video released by PlayStation a couple of days ago reveals new footages from the game.
