Lenovo has introduced the third-generation of the well-received ThinkPad X1 Carbon model, alongside new models of the ThinkPad X, T, E and L line-up. Needless to say, the strong foothold in the mobile PC segment has elevated the company to the position of world's biggest PC manufacturer for 2013. Notably, the ThinkPad series of notebooks has been the crème de la crème product of the company's success formula.

Key Specifications

Reportedly, the Lenovo ThinkPad X1 Carbon is the lightest among the 14-inch ultrabooks at this point. And this device weighs less than 2.9 pounds. Apparently, the X1 Carbon is a replica of the ThinkPad series when it comes to design, quality and construction. Under the hood of the sturdy carbon-forged chassis, the ultrabook is powered by the fifth-generation Intel Core processor, alongside a new PCIe solid state drive. This drive reportedly guarantees up to 80 percent faster storage performance than the standard SSDs, notes GSM Arena.

The display panel of the ThinkPad X1 Carbon features an ultra-bright FHD panel that can provide better viewing angles and visibility, when compared to its predecessor. On the other hand, Lenovo's laptop line-up namely the X, T, L and E series will also receive its respective successors. The upcoming laptop models will maintain the same design traits of the ThinkPad line-up. This means the new laptops will be thin, light and will come bundled with improved battery life. Also, the bright and crystal clear display can provide up to 3K resolution for best viewing experience and ergonomics.
