Kanye West dissed Taylor Swift in his song because she turned him down. The controversial husband of Kim Kardashian was apparently feeling rejected when the 26-year-old songstress refused to promote his song, that’s why he retaliated by dissing her in his song “Famous.”

The 38-year-old rapper presented his Yeezy line as part of the New York Fashion Week on Thursday, playing his album “The Life of Pablo” on stage as well. But apart from the appearance of the newly blonde Kim and their daughter North, as well as the attendance of the Kardashian-Jenner clan and the recovered Lamar Odom, the night became a much talked-about event when West sang a line from his song.

“I feel like me and Taylor might still have sex. Why? I made that b---- famous,” he rapped during the show.

He is believed to be referring to Swift, whose acceptance speech at the MTV Video Music Award 2009 for Best Female Video for “You Belong with Me” was interrupted by West. Swift was only 19 at that time, but West didn’t care. He wanted the world to know that Beyonce should have won instead of Swift.

According to some reports, West gave Swift a heads up on what his song’s lyrics would contain, so everyone but Swift was surprised that she was dissed in the song. However, her rep told Perez Hilton that it’s not true.

“Kanye did not call for approval, but to ask Taylor to release his single ‘Famous’ on her Twitter account. She declined and cautioned him about releasing a song with such a strong misogynistic message. Taylor was never made aware of the actual lyric, ‘I made that b---- famous,’” her rep, Tree Pain, told the celebrity blogger.

It’s not clear whether the line was originally in the song or if West just added it when Swift refused him. It’s more likely that it wasn’t there before, though, since he wouldn’t have asked Swift to promote it if she knew about the line. Nevertheless, Swift knew the song had a sexist and offensive message, and that’s why she refused.

There’s no word from Swift about the incident so far, but her brother Austin showed a passive aggressive way to respond to West.

“Getting a head start on some spring cleaning. Here we go again,” Austin captioned the Instagram clip, which sees him throwing his Yeezy 350 Boosts in the trash. The footwear was from West’s fashion line.
