“The Real Housewives of Melbourne” has added two more faces to the hit Foxtel reality show. Art collector and consultant Gamble Breaux and property developer Pettifleur Berenger have joined the cast, replacing Andrea Moss.

As Fairfax Media reports, the cast line-up has undergone a slight modification after Moss quit the show to focus on the plastic surgery clinic she runs with her husband Dr Chris Moss.

And with Moss out, the drama of the first season, the drama of the first season, which saw Moss squaring off with castmate Gina Liano, has been put to rest. The new season would now need a new controversy to keep the ratings going.

It’s also probably why the producers have picked the newcomers.

“It’s my first opportunity to have fun in front of a camera,” Gamble was quoted by the paper as saying, fully aware that she would need to bring issues in the mix. “With a little bit of controversy. It’s more interesting than staying at home and patting the dog.”

“I’m not necessarily going to get drawn into anything I don’t want to,” said Pettifleur, who probably would be the more sensible of the two. “I have an opinion but it’s going to be an intelligent opinion.”

She added that she may even help her fellow Housewives with their problems since she is writing a self-help book.

It’s undeniable that Moss has helped the show catapult into international fame with her catfights with Liano, and Foxtel’s executive direction of television Brian Walsh acknowledges her role.

“Foxtel would like to thank Andrea Moss for being one of Australia’s first Real Housewives and we understand her decision not to be part of series two. We wish her much success as she returns to a ‘camera free’ life to focus on her family and help with the successful business of her husband, Dr Chris Moss.”

Earlier this month, it was reported that Liano has been planning to move to the Beverly Hills franchise, but it appears that wouldn’t be happening any time soon as she is set to return to the show with Lydia Schiavello, Janet Roach, Jackie Gillies and Chyka Keebaugh.
