A good reader may turn out to be a good lover as well, latest study says.

Anne E Cunningham from University of California, Berkeley feels that young avid readers usually develop higher level of emotional intelligence through "language exposure" that comes from reading. The whole process provides one with stronger communication skills, a strong requirement to have a great love life.

People who enjoy reading fiction tend to show greater empathy than their friends and are more likely to fall in love and develop better intimacy with another person.

"Reading sensitive and lengthy explorations of people's lives, that kind of fiction is literally putting yourself into another person's position," researchers said.

Adults who indulge into reading are always better when it comes to identifying feelings and facial expressions than an average person who is not that much into reading.

"It could help foster long-lasting relationships with their partners," a Huffington Post Canada report suggested.

Previous work have established that "deep reading" facilitates fine-tuning of one's "theory of mind" through the exposure into the world of words.

So the key to happiness stays in your hand. Read more books along with your partner and cherish a long lasting bond.

Fall in love with books. Love will find you back.
