The Royal Canadian Mounted Police have issued a Canada-wide arrest warrant for a young man and woman over charges of murdering 18-year-old Baylee Wylie on Dec. 17 in Moncton, New Brunswick.

The alleged killers, 18-year-old Tyler Noel and 20-year-old Marissa Shephard from the Moncton area, have been charged with first-degree murder and arson charges. The body of the dead individual was found as a result of an early morning house fire at a triplex on Sumac Street when firefighters entered the scene.

The Moncton Fire Department took control over the scene. Fire Chief Eric Arsenault said that firefighters were capable of containing the fire to one unit and extinguish it quickly. He said that a fatality on the spot was discovered, following the recovery of the dead body.

One of the suspects, 18-year-old Devin Morningstar, was arrested on Dec. 21 after the fire incident and charged with first-degree murder. Since then, the police have been searching for the other two suspected culprits. He is still in custody, and his lawyer has urged for psychological examination of the matter.

“The murder of Baylee Wylie was extremely violent, so these two subjects should be considered dangerous and not to be approached,” Sgt. André Pepin of the Codiac RCMP said. Pepin added that anyone found guilty of helping the pair will also be subject to allegations, prompting to first-degree murder.

“Anyone who is helping them to evade police can be charged with accessory after the fact to commit first-degree murder.”

Noel and Shephard were charged with first degree murder and arson on Dec. 24. However, the police said that it wasn't sure of the whereabouts of the couple. The third suspect, Morningstar, will be presented in court on Jan. 8.

Based on the evidences found from the scene, the police declared the investigation to be treated as a homicide, but later the investigation took them to an “extremely violent” murder mystery.
