Last year, Microsoft unveiled a US$150(AU $210) Elite controller for the Xbox One. The controller came with a slew of features including a cloud storage in which players can bring their accounts on the go. The controller was a hit among Xbox fans due to its sleek style and unique features. It seems the controller has met a new match as Razer unveiled a competitive controller of its own.

Razer announced that it will be releasing the Wildcat, which is an Xbox One controller similar to the Elite controller by Microsoft. Razer describes the controller as a "pro-gamer-validated, tournament-grade." Judging by the description, it seems the Wildcat is slated for competitive matches. Techtimes even reports that the company built the controller upon the consultation of professional gamers, whose ideas helped in designing the controller.

The Wildcat features the same buttons found in regular Xbox One controller: directional pad, four config buttons, two shoulder and trigger buttons at the top, and two analog sticks. Along with the regular features, the Wildcat will sport four extra buttons which can be found on the top and the rear of the controller. The four buttons consists of two triggers and two bumpers. Another unique feature for the Wildcat it that the extra triggers are removable.

Like the Xbox One Elite controller, gamers can configure every button on the Wildcat to suit their liking. The controller will also give players access to a quick control panel which allows for easy switching between profiles found in the Wildcat.

Also, like new controllers, the Wildcat will also sport a 3.5mm audio jack that allows the use of many headsets and headphones. The Wildcat will ship with additional rubber palms, analog stick grips, a detachable 10ft. micro USB cable and a carrying case. It is worth noting that the Wildcat is designed to be a wired controller.

Razer will release the Wildcat next month. As for the pricing, the company is looking to sell the controller with the same price as Microsoft’s Elite Xbox One controller.
