Samsung Smartphones have been able to strike gold in the Android world, defeating plenty of contenders without much difficulty. However, there exists a neck-to-neck challenge between the Android Samsung and iOS Apple iPhones. Samsung had standard rules regarding utilitarian designs and non-metal moulds, but the launch of Galaxy S6 and Galaxy S6 Edge has shattered those rules, as the specs and design beat the current iPhone models and the S6s flagships have certain functionalities that are missing in their counterpart iPhone 6.

Selfie friendly

Selfie friendly Samsung S6 range competes with iPhone 6 rear camera, which is built with just 1.2 megapixel. With Apple’s poor camera features, the selfie may go blurred or appear jagged. On the other hand, Samsung S6 incorporates 5 megapixel f/1.9 aperture with wide angle lens, allowing more light and people in the frame. It has different modes including rear-cam selfie, beauty selfie and multiple layouts for the images.

Sharp videos

Apple and Samsung have dragged in face-detection and auto-focus, yet the S6’s Optical Image Stabilization is missing in iPhone 6, resulting in grainy image and shaking videos. Moving objects, pets and kids can be captured without stirring effect, with S6 and S5 Edge and they can uniquely manage 2560X1440p QHD videos, through front camera, while other phones can shoot videos only through the rear camera.

Health apps

Inbuilt Fitness tracking apps that monitor heart rate, stress level, sleep pattern, steps level and SpO2, along with the food intake tracking can be enjoyed with the Galaxy S6 and S6 Edge, sans third-party apps that burn your fingers.

Manage home appliances

Unlike the iPhone 6, the inbuilt IR Blaster in the Galaxy S6 can manage the home appliances including TV, DVR, DVD PLAYER, Set-top box, air conditioner, AV receivers, Blue-ray players, streaming media players such as Apple TV, WD TV Live, Roku and many more. The Peel Smart Remote app, comes with the pre-installed Galaxy S6, showcases the current shows in the TV channels.

Complete customization

With plenty of themes, you can customize the S6 device with wallpapers, ringtones, fonts, colors, and even apps, unlike the Apple iPhone 6. The display is ideal in S6 with Quad HD Super AMOLED feature. It also allows hiding images, files and data, through fingerprint sensitive technology.

Fast charging

To compensate the absence of removable battery and microSd card slot, Samsung offers faster charging within 80 minutes, unlike iPhone 6, which takes almost 4 hours for full charge. Added to that, the Galaxy S6 has a wireless charging facility with both major technologies – WPC and PMA.

Although all the above features are not employed by every user, we understand that iPhone 6 has some pitfalls against Galaxy S6 and Galaxy S6 edge and they have passed in the durability test conducted by Digtaltimes.
