Who would have thought that a Slytherin and Ravenclaw would walk the red carpet together? Well, this is exactly what took place during the grand opening ceremony of the Wizarding World of Harry Potter in Universal Studios Japan.

Tom Felton, who plays Slytherin's Draco Malfoy, and Evanna Lynch, who plays Ravenclaw's Luna Lovegood, were quite the unlikely pair in Japan. Both "Harry Potter" stars wore their iconic Hogwart house scarves and walked the red carpet for the grand opening ceremony of the Harry Potter theme park in Japan.

Evanna and Tom were joined by USJ CEO GlennGumpel in their magical chant of Lumos which declared the official opening of the park. The Wizarding World of Harry Potter in Universal Studios Japan stands on nine acres that boasts $445 million in value.

A privileged 1000 guests were in attendance that joined Tom and Evanna on tour.

"Thank you for sharing your passion and your enthusiasm for the films and books with us as all, because it means so much after all these years to still have that love. And thank you for welcoming us to this part of your celebration," stated Lynch during the opening ceremony.

In other Potter related news, Tom Felton and Emma Watson paid tribute to their "Harry Potter" co-star Dave Legeno. Dave, who played the iconic werewolf, Fenrir Greyback, suffered an untimely death during his hike at the Death Valley dessert in California.

Contrary to his character onscreen, Dave was the most loveable and of the gentlest hearts as proven by Emma and Tom's tweets.

"I'm so sad to hear about #DaveLegeno. He was such a lovely man. I hope he is resting in peace," tweeted Emma.

"Gutted to hear the sad news about Dave Legeno. He was a true Big, Friendly, Gentleman. Was a pleasure every time we met," stated Tom.

Before joining the world of film, Dave was a renowned wrestler, boxer and mixed martial artist. He is survived by one daughter by the name of Wendy.
