Ratings say 23 million Americans glued in to watch the Royal Wedding
Citing the data provided by Nielsen, the Associated Press noted that 22.76 million viewers were getting blow by blow accounts of the much-talked about royal wedding were distributed in 11 networks during the ceremony from 6 a.m. to 7:15 a.m. EDT.

Variety magazine said that E! claims that because of its Royal Wedding coverage, its website had reported a new single day record for page views at 23.6 million on Friday’s Royal wedding coverage.
The entertainment website also noted that an estimated 1.5 million unique users for other wedding-related materials featured in its websites and live stream of the ceremony at London’s historic Abbey.

The grand wedding between the Duke and Duchess of Cambridge was telecast on eleven major television networks in the U.S. including ABC, CBS, NBC, Telemundo, Univision, BBC America, CNN, E! Entertainment, Fox News Channel, MSNBC and TLC.
No estimates have been provided as of yet for the number of viewers who witnessed the Royal Wedding of the Century at London’s Westminster Abbey on April 29.
