Ubisoft announced that the company’s upcoming shooter “Rainbow Six Siege” would be getting a bit delayed. The game was originally scheduled to debut on Oct. 13, but has since been moved to Dec. 1. Apparently, the decision wasn’t an easy one to make for the company, but it was done due to some of the reception the game has received on hands-on demos and beta tests.

The announcement was made on the official Ubisoft blog where the company also confirmed that it would be delayed for all regions. It seems like the development team will be working on some of the game’s quirks, including fixing the game’s co-op experience and balancing out some of the weapon’s power. Menu and interface navigation will also be worked on, so that it will be less stiff.

For additional feedback to the game, a closed beta for “Rainbox Six Siege” has been planned. According to Eurogamer, fans will be bale to try out the beta next month on Sept. 24. The beta test will allow the developer to work on the game’s online match making, as well as its infrastructure.

Video game delays have been happening more frequently lately, with titles like “Mighty No. 9” and “Naruto Shippuden: Ultimate Ninja Storm 4” getting delayed till 2016. While somewhat disappointing, it can be considered the lesser of two evils, as fan backlash to broken video games launches have been much more vocal in this day and age.

One frequent example that’s been used a lot is “Assassin’s Creed Unity,” a game that was also published by Ubisoft. The game was obviously rushed when it was released, resulting in numerous bugs and crashes, which lead to a huge patch that would be released later on to fix the game. The developer has since stated that the same problem won’t be happening to the company’s next game in the series “Assassin’s Creed Syndicate.”

“Rainbow Six Siege” will be coming out on the PlayStation 4, Xbox One and Windows PC. The game will be the first “Rainbow Six” title since “Rogue Spear” that won’t be using the acclaimed Unreal 4 Engine.
