Rafael Nadal has slipped two places down in the latest Association of Tennis Professionals, or ATP, world rankings. Nadal, a former World No. 1, is now in the fifth place. It is his worst rank in the last two years.

Nadal isn’t the only mover among the male tennis professionals in this week’s latest world rankings. Andy Murray, who reached the finals of the 2015 Miami Open, is now at the third place, while Japan’s Kei Nishikori occupied the fourth place.

In the top 10, Tomas Berdych moved up one spot to the eighth place. Former Australian Open champion Stan Wawrinka dropped one notch to the ninth place.

Novak Djokovic, on the other hand, strengthened his place atop the rankings after his victory over Murray in the finale of Miami Open. This week marks Djokovic’s 142nd week as World No. 1. Other non-movers include 17-time grand slam champion Roger Federer, Milos Raonic, David Ferrer and defending U.S. Open champion Marin Cilic at the second, sixth, seventh, and 10th places, respectively.

The big movers this week include John Isner, who moved five places up to get to the 19th spot. Juan Monaco of Argentina has moved to the 39th place from 46th place. Dominic Thiem of Austria broke into the top 50, moving nine places up, to get to the 43rd spot. Up-and-coming star Borna Coric, who stunned Nadal in the quarterfinals of the 2014 Swiss Indoors Basel, is now at the 55th place. Nadal Getting Ready For The Clay Court Season

Nadal, the King of Clay, is now getting ready for the upcoming clay court season. Following his shocking third round exit at the 2015 Miami Open, Nadal took to Facebook to update his supporters that he is already training for his next tournament at the Monte Carlo Rolex Masters, which kicks off on April 12.

The 14-time grand slam champion posted a photo of him training on a clay court on Facebook on April 6. “Great environment to practice,” Nadal captioned the photo. A week ago, Nadal also uploaded a video on Facebook while he was training on red dirt.

Nadal recently admitted that he was having some mental issues after his loss at Crandon Park Tennis Centre. However, he is looking forward to his upcoming tournaments and remains hopeful that he will be able to add another title to his long list of tennis accolades.
