Queens of the Stone Age Australia 2017 tour: Complete itinerary and ticket details

Queens of the Stone Age have announced tour dates for Australia and New Zealand. The American rock band from Palm Desert, California will return to Australia and New Zealand in July 2017 this year. The band will play across various festivals including Splendour In The Grass.

The band will kickstart their tour with Auckland's Logan Campbell on Thursday, July 13, followed by their debut show in Darwin, at the Convention Centre, on Sunday, July 16. This will be followed by the usual stops at Sydney, Melbourne, Byron Bay and the Parklands. The band came out with their last album “Like Clockwork” in 2013, but the show organisers consider them as the most eagerly awaited acts in all festivals.

According to a press release, Queens of the Stone Age will play Sydney’s Hordern Pavilion on Wednesday, July 19 and Melbourne’s Festival Hall on Thursday, July 20. The release states that general public tickets to all shows will go on sale Wednesday, April 12 and the fans can look for ticket details on frontiertouring.com/QOTSA.

The band is led by founding member/frontman Josh Homme (guitar/vocals), with Troy Van Leeuwen (guitar), Dean Fertita (guitar/keys), Jon Theodore (drums/percussion) and Michael Shuman (bass). They have played sold-out shows in the past in both Australia and New Zealand. Check out more show details below.

Meanwhile, the band dropped hint about their new album on their Facebook page. The page shows the picture of a letter Q and includes the message “COMING TWENTYFIVE.” No other details are mentioned. Their web store says that orders will ship after April 17. Fans are speculating that it could mean that more stuff is coming from the band. Meanwhile, a pre-sale for Frontier Touring members will be held starting 2 p.m. AEST on Monday, April 10, for 24 hours or until the tickets are sold out.
