'Quantico' season 2B: Priyanka Chopra, showrunner tease plot

"Quantico" is all set to return on Jan. 23. As its comeback draws near, avid viewers can’t help but wonder about what’s to come. Showrunner Joshua Safran and actress Priyanka Chopra have teased fans about the plot for the second half of season 2.

Showrunner Joshua Safran recently teased fans about what fans should expect. He hinted that the upcoming episodes of the show will “dive deeply” into the backstory of Harry.

“After we came up with the Alex-and-Ryan spine for the season, we came up with the Harry story, way back in June,” Safran revealed through TVLine. “A lot happens with that storyline between now and the near future.”

Even lead actress Priyanka Chopra had something to say about the future of the series. Speaking with The Hollywood Reporter, the actress revealed that the second half of "Quantico"season 2 will see Alex delving deeper into the betrayal to find out why Ryan (Jake McLaughlin) had to do that to her.

Chopra also told THR that the second half of the season will be “a lot more streamlined.” She revealed that new characters will be introduced. Fans will also be delighted to know that a lot of original characters will be back according to the actress.

Quantico cast also includes Aunjanue Ellis, Yasmine Al Massri, Johanna Braddy, Josh Hopkins and Tate Ellington among others.

“It will be the same show but done differently. You won’t want to miss the last five minutes of each episode,” Chopra said.

The last season of "Quantico"has seen Alex working for the CIA. Things have been different for her in the new organisation when compared to the one in FBI.

It was earlier announced that "Quantico" will have a new US time slot. It was moved from its Sundays at 10 p.m. perch to Mondays starting this month as part of ABC's midseason schedule. "Quantico" is expected to air on Seven this month in Australia.
