PlayStation 5 and the next generation Xbox Two should make their gaming market debut sooner than expected. Sooner means both the XBox Two and the PS5 could be revealed by 2018 and hit the market by 2020.

It’s highly likely both much awaited consoles will feature 4K gaming by the time they make their way to the market. After all, 4K gaming is geting to be the norm among consoles.

In addition to 4K gaming, Sony and Microsoft are said to be going for upgraded AMD microprocessors to get a performance boost for their new consoles. That way, next generation units will operate five times better than the existing models, according to Existech. AMD will also enssure backwards compatibility in addition to improving the consoles' general performance.

Pretty soon, video games played on today's consoles will still be playable with the new, upcoming games, thus making it easier and more convenient for gamers to make the transition from, say, the PS4 to the PS5.

Furthermore, virtual reality gaming is also a booming trend in the gaming industry, as reported by KPopStarz. By 2016, it’s expected there will be a whole, new universe of video gaming for both gamers and developers to explore and enjoy.

Game console makers have been hard at work coming up with the best consoles for the gaming public. The industry has experienced such a dramatic evolution since the first gaming console made its way to market.

The concept was to give gamers the opportunity to play their favourite arcade games in the comfort of their homes. Gaming consoles were developed and improved year after year. That said, avid Sony gamers have been waiting for the company to finally launch the PlayStation 5, especially since it has been several years since the PS4 was released.
