Microsoft is becoming more aggressive in rolling out updates and new features for the Xbox One. In fact, the latest update will bring in one of the more requested features, and give the PS4 a run for its money when comparing screenshots.

But that doesn’t mean that PS4 fans should start to despair about the lack of updates for Sony’s next-gen console. Fans have been pretty vocal about the lack of updates for the PS4. The PS4 firmware update 2.0 was released last October, and apart from update-improvements, there has been no word on when the PS4 will see new features. Sony’s Fred Dutton has made sure to let fans in on even the slightest hint that could be given for the latest update.

“I haven’t got news for your today, but the next update is not too far out. We’ll update you here asap,” said Dutton in the PlayStation Blog comments. There really seems to be a discrepancy in the way Microsoft and Sony release updates for their specific consoles, but hopefully there would be more to expect for the PS4.

Discount For PS Network Cards And Games

Following the massive sale that Sony has offered for the PlayStation platform, there are still a number of deals that PS4 players can avail of, in both the games and entertainment section of the console. DualShockers has spotted an offer for the PlayStation Network card over at Paypal Digital. According to the report, there’s a 20% discount for $50 PlayStation Network cards, bringing down the price to $40.

This is a digital version of the card, but it is still limited in quantity so it’s best to jump at the offer while there are still stocks. Fans who have availed of the offer have attested to the limit of buying only two per account used. The offer is also currently for those in the U.S. only, so if you qualify for it and are interested, click on the link here fast.

Amazon is also holding some digital code deals for all three PlayStation platforms. Game Idealist spotted the updated list of code deals for a couple of games. Some of the titles are worth checking out, including “Destiny,” “Person 2: Eternal Punishment,’ “Contrast,” “Daylight,” and “Call of Duty: Advanced Warfare.” Check out the complete list of titles on discount over at the link above.

More Deals For Entertainment

Another offer worth checking out is on HuluPlus. Redditor SlyyyTendencies has spotted the new offer for two months’ worth of Hulu Plus on the PS4. According to the source, you first need to download Hulu Plus on the PlayStation Store. There’s no need for a PlayStation Plus for this offer, and what’s more, signing up will let you receive a code that can also be used on the PC. Upon doing so, you will receive a URL and a code for signup.

However, once you’ve already signed up, don’t forget to cancel the auto renewal for subscription. It appears that doing so will immediately end the two-month trial. For now, the free two-month trial offer is not available in Canada, so apart from that area, feel free to give it a spin.
