One of the reasons why the PS4 has managed to stay ahead in terms of pricing is due to the non-bundled feature of the PS4 and its PlayStation Camera, unlike the earlier days of the Xbox One and the Kinect 2.0. What is unexpected is how the PlayStation Camera is apparently selling more than it was projected to and Sony is pushing to advance this particular trend.

DualShockers reports that Sony has recently released a trailer that is hyping up the PlayStation Camera in time for the Christmas season. Given how there's still time to buy gifts, the PS Camera will surely make a great addition, especially for those who are looking to get good deals. One of these is the recently announced list of gaming discounts over at the PlayStation Blog.

Over at GameStop, gamers have Christmas Eve to purchase a PS4 while also getting a free PlayStation Camera to boot. If you are interested to see what the feature of the PlayStation Camera are, check out the video below.

Looking beyond the holiday season, however, it seems that the PS4 will reign in the console war-at least this is what U.K. game retailers are expecting for 2015. According to a report by MCV U.K., the PS4 seem to be the vote of 55% of retailers in terms of which console will end on top. But as stated, the split in the vote may not be as big compared to how the PS4 kept dominating month after month in 2014.

The Xbox One had already managed to take over the lead in November, which can mean that 2015 may still see a lot of growth and sales for Microsoft's next-gen console. This could mean a close fight for the 2015. One thing that should be watched out or in the coming months is the role of games in console patronage for 2015. While Christmas 2014 had been all about bundles and price discounts, 2015 may be fueled more by the games released on the consoles.

For now, the main issue that Sony is facing is its PS4 20th Anniversary Edition. Eurogamer reports that a lot of disgruntled fans are complaining about how the whole promo is unfair to actual loyal fans, as the system is currently being exploited.

Instead of being a celebration of the two decades of the console, Sony's plan of using a website to provide clues to loyal PlayStation fans has now been exploited, as the Internet worked with its resources to create a workaround for the situation. One fan even created a blog post that detailed how to hack the competition, in the hopes of Sony making the ongoing round void.

The blog was successful, as Sony has finally responded to the exploit and is now beefing up its security system. For now, those who were able to complete the form for the competition before Sony has even disseminated the information will now be disqualified. In addition, Sony is adding some more encryptions until the final clue is released.

"We launched #20YearsofCharacters...with the intention of giving our true fans the best opportunity for purchasing the PS4 20th Anniversary Edition console," said Sony in a statement quoted by Eurogamer.
