In a nutshell, the PS4 launch in Europe was pretty much a repeat of the North America from November 15--successful, frenzy, and with a number of unavoidable hiccups.

Overall, it was the expected PS4 launch that has also resulted in sell outs of the PS4 stocks. A number of reports have surfaced showing off videos of people swarming into retailer stores, such as this one in Germany, where hundreds of fans lined up at Berlin's Potsdamer Platz.

There's also this video of the countdown to the PS4 midnight launch, which shows off the very long queue as the gamers line up for the release of the console held at an exclusive VIP event in London.

Rome was also part of the midnight launch frenzy, and for this, the #4ThePlayers event had treated gamers to an amazing lights show attended by a multitude of fans, as seen in the video.

Cinema Blend also has two more videos of these PS4 midnight launches, some of which showed very frenzied gamers who want their PS4 consoles that much. The report also adds that the PS4 UK launch may have been one of the most successful. Quoting another site about the state of the stock of PS4 consoles, "Anyone ordering after 14 November will have to wait until after Christmas for delivery."

Problems remain, as well as the one-star reviews

Similar to the North America release date, PS4 users in the UK region have also started to see some of the problems that North American users have reported two weeks ago during the launch.

DualShockers reports that, in a similar fashion, the one-star reviews have also started to appear in Amazon, though these are still outnumbers by the five-star reviews. The percentage and ratio of the one-star to five-star reviews on Amazon tend to be the same as what was seen two weeks ago.

This can also mean that the problems can be resolved in the same manner and timeframe as it was in the U.S.

In addition to this, the problem of the PlayStation Network can also be seen among European users, and Sony has already affirmed this. "We are aware some users are experiencing issues logging into PSN on PS4 due to the heavy traffic we are receiving, we're investigating," said Sony on @PlayStationEU in Twitter as quoted by VG 24/7.

Australia will get more PS4 stocks by Christmas

The reception and queues for the PS4 launch date in Europe last November 29 have been very positive to the point that selling out of the consoles in various retailers have become an inevitability.

If you're one of those who failed to get their hands on Sony's next-gen console, Just Push Start reports that shipments of the PS4 may be coming to Australia before Christmas arrives.

Given that most of the stocks seem to be made available for selling the moment they land with the retailers, it's possible that during the Christmas frenzy, the earliest that gamers can get the PS4 if they still don't get it this Christmas would be 2014.

This goes for Australia and everywhere else, so best to place your orders or wait it out until the next batch comes. But that would mean spending the holidays dreaming about playing the PS4 instead of actually getting into the newest game offers.
