Professional athletes step out of their field to get all glammed up for ESPN's "The Magazine" music issue. Dressed as Katy Perry, Michael Jackson, Beyoncé and a lot more, the athletes display such cunning resemblance with these famous music icons.

American soccer player and Olympic medalist Alex Morgan ditched the uniform and got all girly and retro as she dressed up as Katy Perry. Thanks to make up, props and maybe a bit of photoshop, the resemblance was unmistakable.

Although some of her fans would rather see her on the field, delivering a successful pitch, there is something entertaining about seeing the other side of her. The more feminine and perhaps the more glamorous side rather than the active and competitive atmosphere she's always been in.

Another feature of the magazine was Josh Freeman dressed like Michael Jackson. The Tampa Bay Buccaneers quarterback recreated one of Michael Jackson's most iconic photos during his "Thriller" days.

NASCAR star Jimmie Kenneth Johnson also did his best impression on Bob Dylan's album cover. He was accompanied by his wife Chandra Janway for the shoot.

And while Beyoncé killed it during her Super Bowl halftime performance, another athlete is also strutting what's she's got to impersonate the songstress. Track and field sprint athlete Allyson Felix was also unrecognizable as Beyoncé.

ESPN gives their followers a chance to vote for their favorite music-athlete mashup. It's actually a good and creative way to present the other side of sports. Apart from the straight reporting that may often become boring for some, combining sports with pop culture is a great idea to keep the crowd entertained.
