A close friend of Princess Diana reveals Diana’s true love in an interview with the Daily Mail.

Lucia Flecha de Lima, a confidante of the late princess spoke about Diana, Princess of Wales on a rare occasion – when the film titled “Diana” was shown in de Lima’s home country Brazil.

During the opening of the film “Diana” Lucia Flecha de Lima, who rarely speaks of her friend to the press said, said that Diana was “not in love with Dodi Fayed."

The Brazilian diplomat’s wife added that “she [Diana] may have had a passion for heart surgeon Hasnat Khan” but that her true love has always been Prince Charles.

De Lima, whom Diana met when Lucia’s husband was appointed at St. James’s Court, said that she is certain that Diana was in love only with Charles.

As a close friend to Princess Diana even through what is described by the press as the most turbulent years of Prince Charles’s and Princess Diana’s marriage, confirmed that Diana loved Charles until her death in 1997.

After Lucia and her husband moved to the United States, Lucia Flecha de Lima continued her friendship with the princess. She said that Princess Di regularly visited their Mayfair home. De Lima even had a bedroom just for the princess, reports say.

In her interview, Lucia recalls that Diana has always been passionate. De Lima recounted telling Diana that she doesn’t “seem to be English but Latin.”

Lucia also recalls Diana saying that she was “convinced” that Prince Charles was in love with her. Diana also reportedly told her that when Prince William was born, Prince Charles was “very enchanted”.

“The love of Diana’s life was Prince Charles, I have no doubt about this,” de Lima said. On Diana’s relationship with other men, de Lima noted that Diana was not in love Dodi Fayed. “I know because I asked her, “ Lucia added.
