Following the news that Prince William has started work as an East Anglian Air Ambulance pilot, royal watchers have noticed that his colleague is the spitting image of his wife, Kate Middleton. The Duke of Cambridge has been paired to work with Dr Gemma Mullen, who reportedly possesses a striking resemblance to the duchess.

Mirror UK described Dr. Gemma Mullen as a “Kate Middleton lookalike.” She reportedly bears an uncanny resemblance to the brunette Duchess of Cambridge probably because of their hair colour and smile. The site shared a photo to show a comparison between the two women.

According to New York Daily News, commentators were quick to notice Mullen’s slight similarities with Kate Middleton as soon as photos of Prince William on his first day of work were released online. Dr Gemma Mullen, a paediatric anaesthetis, will reportedly be the Duke of Cambridge’s new flying partner.

Prince William is scheduled to work for 9-and-a-half hours in the first few months. He will later on work for four days straight and have four days off. The duke will reportedly be working as a co-pilot for the meantime until he completes his flying hours.

Despite admitting feeling the “first-day-nerves,” Prince William managed to carry on with his first day at work. According to Mirror UK, the Duke of Cambridge’s first day as an East Anglian Air Ambulance pilot saw him doing routine pilot work. “From pulling the EC145 helicopter out of the hangar on the heli-lift -- a motorised trailer -- to clambering over the aircraft to carry out the pre-flight checks and, finally, filling it up with fuel,” the site revealed.

Prince William revealed his intentions for working with East Anglian Air during an interview with Sky News via The Telegraph . Despite working for six days straight in the first few months and his earnings going to charity, the Duke of Cambridge believes it would make him a decent individual.

"For me it is also really important to be grounded. I feel doing a job like this really helps with grounding the core of what I am trying to become… just trying to be a good guy, trying to do what you can, trying be a decent individual, thoughtful," he said.
