Prince William and Duchess Kate may be raising a future football player, not Prince George, but Princess Charlotte since she was gifted her own football jersey by the Lionesses -- England’s women’s football team.

The Duke of Cambridge was visiting the Lionesses at St. George’s Park in Staffordshire on Wednesday when the team presented him Princess Charlotte’s very own football jersey, states ABC News. The jersey had the royal baby’s name at the back along with the number one.

According to The Telegraph, team captain Steph Houghton revealed that the ladies were very curious about the new royal baby. They asked Prince William how Princess Charlotte and Prince George were doing, and whether they keep him up at night. "He was saying he's obviously really enjoying being a father and Princess Charlotte is actually keeping him up and probably why his eyes are looking a little bit tired," says Houghton.

The 32-year-old royal also mentioned how it’s currently Prince George who is displaying soccer skills through his quick feet. "He was saying he never stops moving and is always on the move and keeping them busy,” Houghton reveals.

Fellow player Jill Scott also shares, "He said he'd had a few sleepless nights. The baby will be up and George is running around now isn't he? It reflects that he does a normal life away from his duty as prince."

Prince William is the president of the Football Association (FA) and met with the Lionesses to send off the England women's squad before they play in the World Cup on June 6, reports People. He also posed for a picture with the team inside the locker room but when someone called out "Cheese," he replied: "No, I think 'Number one' would be more appropriate."

During a light moment, the Duke, who is a proud Aston Villa fan, quipped that he may be facing “a bad day” after the FA Cup final is played at Wembley on May 30, with Villa playing Arsenal for the trophy.

Prince William recently returned from paternity leave and resumed his royal duties which included the visit to the National Football Centre in Staffordshire. His wife Kate, Duchess of Cambridge, is caring for Prince Charlotte and Prince George in Anmer Hall.
