A picture of innocence, Prince George's official Christmas photos are simply adorable as proud parents Prince William and Kate Middleton released the candid photos to offer their season's greetings. The newly released photos features the one-year-old royal making three distinct faces as he smiles innocently in front of the camera.

Photographed by Prince Harry's private secretary Ed Lane Fox, a freelance photographer, Prince George's cute Christmas photographs are Will and Kate's way of saying thank you to the press. Since the little prince's birthday in July, the couple requested to give their son a privacy "without intrusion from photography" and since then the paparazzi honoured their request.

Taken in November in a courtyard at London's Kensington Place, the three snaps feature the young prince wearing a navy vest decorated with red soldiers over a white, long sleeve top and paired it with shorts with knee-high socks. To keep him warm during this winter season, George is sporting a navy leather Start-Rite Buckle shows as his neatly combed hair is parted from the right.

"The pictures offer a glimpse at three new faces of the little royal," according to People. "There's the knowing smirk, as if he's about to set off on a new mission; there's the inquisitive sideways glance, perhaps at one of his parents standing behind the photographer; and there's the cheeky grin."

Now 16 months old, Prince George's cute Christmas photos are currently trending with 27,410 tweets after a day it was released. The photos was posted online at 10:30 p.m on December 13, and was retweeted 8,142 times, and made favourite by almost 11,000 Twitter users with 206 published articles dedicated for the newly-released photos coming from Canada, France and U.S.

Meanwhile, Prince George's parents recently returned home from their first three-day trip in New York City. The Duke and Duchess of Cambridge managed to cover a lot of things for their short trip which includes a trip to the 9/11 memorial and museum, meeting President Barrack Obama, talked about their various causes and watched a basketball game, including a photo opportunity with "King James," Cavaliers' LeBron James.
