After battling a serious case of morning sickness, Kate Middleton and husband Prince William are going stateside to visit New York City for the first time in December. Based on the statement released by Clarence House, the Cambridge's will be in the Big Apple on Dec. 7-9 as they will represent Queen Elizabeth for the Royal Foundation and other charities.

The royal tour marks the couple's first official visit to NYC and Washington, D.C. and Prince George first trip in North America as they promote various causes including the Tusk Trust, The Art Room, BAFTA and United for Wildlife. Will and Kate visited the U.S. during the summer of 2011 in California after touring Canada.

"The charitable themes will include promoting sustainable conservation issues with a particular focus on collaborative working to tackle the illegal wildlife trade, and also supporting organisations, which reflect Their Royal Highnesses' interest in young people's mental health and the importance supporting disadvantaged young people from an early age," according to Clarence House. "In support of U.K. Government initiatives, The Duke and Duchess will attend events that celebrate the successful partnerships between the U.K. and U.S.A. in the technology and creative industries sectors."

The Duke and Duchess of Cambridge will split up for one day as William will head to Washington D.C. while Kate will remain in NYC. Accompanied by New York's First Lady, Chirlane McCray, the brunette is set to visit a local child development centre as they learned how organization provide quality mental health care and education services. After her hectic schedule, the expecting mom will attend a lunch meeting hosted by the British Consul General of Ney York.

The couple is also scheduled to visit an inner city youth centre and a tech-themed event, after William's trip to the capitol to attend a conference at the World Bank. But their trip is not all about business, the two royals are will enjoy a basketball game between Brooklyn Nets and Cleveland Cavaliers on Dec. 8 at the Barclays Centre.

William and Kate will cap their NYC royal tour by attending the University of St. Andrews gala dinner for the academe's 600th anniversary campaign. As patrons of the said event, the dinner will be held at the Metropolitan Museum of Art.
