Everyone was on high alert for 9/11 when Prince Harry was caught in an accident on his way to Invictus Games last Thursday, Sept. 11. The royal's police rider had a head-on collision with a taxi near London Zoo with the driver cut from vehicle and the rider was found 30 feet down the road. The accident occurred around 9:40 a.m. on Prince Albert Road that is adjacent to Regents Park and London Zoo.

The fourth in line to the throne was reportedly in shock as he stayed in his range rover for security purposes, while his bodyguards are treating the unconscious driver. The Toyota Prius' driver had to be cut free from the wreckage and thanks to the firemen who responded quickly in the scene of the accident.

"Pictures taken in the aftermath of the accident in central London show the police motorbike embedded in the white Toyota Prius, as the driver lies slumped in his seat surrounded by deployed airbags," Daily Mail reports. "The bystander said he saw Harry, 29, in the back of the car with his head in his hands, constantly looking backwards at the injured men with 'concern etched on his face'."

Based on the report, the driver is now in "stable" condition while the rider from the Special Escort Group was discharged from the hospital. CCTV footage features Harry's convoy at the wrong side of the road without using any sirens and collided with the taxi that is parked right across the main road.

Meanwhile, the Prince made a double celebration at the end of Invictus Games for the wounded servicemen and women as the conclusion of the games coincides with his birthday. The sporting event concludes on Sunday evening with a concert at the Queen Elizabeth Olympic Park in east London and Harry vows that he will share a drink with his friends for the success of the event.

Harry even revealed that he is looking forward to being 30 and has more reasons to celebrate for making his dream a reality. During the closing ceremony of the Paralympics, the ginger-haired royal choked back tears as he gets emotional during his speech.
