On Oct. 23, Prince William and Kate Middleton gave the first glance of their three-month-old son since his first official portraits were released in late August. During the royal ceremony in London Wednesday, Kate Middleton came out as the show stealer. The Archbishop of Canterbury, Justin Welby, was the in-charge of the intimate royal service.

Prince George's royal parents already have broken the tradition by hosting the event in St. James' Palace instead of Buckingham Palace. "William and Kate are going to do things differently, and actually, their families are respectful of that," "This won't be a case of a big rift. Christenings are not state occasions. They're private affairs and can be as big or intimate as the parents desire." a royal source previously told E! News.

The Duchess of Cambridge was the visual rendering of splendor and style clad in a cream ruffled Alexander McQueen coat dress (the same designer behind her beautiful lace wedding dress). She completed the ensemble with her favorite nude patent courts from LK Bennett and a floral-style fascinator by exclusive London-based milliner Jane Taylor.

She perfectly matched the little Prince George's outfit: a handmade replica of the royal christening robe, prepared by Angela Kelly, dressmaker to Queen Elizabeth II. Prince George looked extra appealing in an all white Spitalfields silk-satin robe.

Flaunting a pair of simple drop earrings and watch, the Duchess kept jewelry to a minimum and shown her signature hair (long loose tresses) and make-up highlighted with black eyeliner.

As reported Oct. 18 while attending a Sports Aid charity event in London, she opted for a simply chic, sporty and casual look. Apparently she should have flaunted formal looks some elegant ensemble and she did exactly that for this once-in-a-lifetime ceremony at the Chapel Royal in St. James' Palace. Along with Kate, Prince George Prince William looked spruce in a navy suit with sky blue tie.

Jason Bell was the official photographer for Prince George's christening.
