A popular Nigerian pastor and prophet has warned Catholics to pray for Pope Francis as he might get kidnapped soon.

TB Joshua, founder and spiritual leader of Synagogue Church of All Nations (SCOAN), during his service on Sunday, Sept 7, said he saw in a vision international terrorist organizations plotting a plan to kidnap the new Catholic pontiff, who was installed just last March 2013.

The plan, he told his congregation, would involve an attempt to hijack a plane on which the pope will be traveling. Terrorists then will direct the plane into a route they want.

"First they will take the plane and it will be like they cannot locate it and then it will be like that. So we should pray so that it will just not end like that. This is another big attempt they want to pick. It's an attempt they want to do now, so they have to tactically plan at every airport so that this thing does not happen," Joshua said.

According to Osun Defender Online, Joshua is admired not only among Nigeria's ordinary people, but also among the country's politicians and celebrities. It likewise said he has followers worldwide.

SCOAN claimed Joshua had predicted the death of Michael Jackson, the Boston bombing attacks in America as well as the results of the two African Cup of Nations (AFCON) final matches, which Zambia and Nigeria won. SCOAN also claimed Joshua had prophesized the alleged crash of Malaysia Airlines Flight MH370 months before the incident actually happened.

"I as a man of God, am praying about it but all Christians must pray too. The popular cleric am talking about is the pope. We must pray for him," Joshua warned.

He even said the event will be picked up by "CNN and other international media platforms."

On Sept 3, U.S. intelligence revealed there are 11 aeroplanes missing in Libya when the terrorists managed to capture the international airport in Tripoli. Intelligence authorities said the militants could use the air carriers to stage hijacking events similar to the Sept 11, 2001 attacks.
