“Power” season 6 is a new beginning for all the characters after the shocking events in the finale episode, and at the same time it will be the beginning of the end as the TV series will now head towards the ending. In a recent interview, Executive Producer Courtney A. Kemp shared some insights about the cliff-hanger ending and what’s in store for the future. The following article contains spoilers from episodes that have already aired.

In an interview with Deadline, Kemp said that Angela (Lela Loren) is still alive by the end of the season. It remains to be seen if she will die in season 6, setting up the story of a confrontation between James (Omari Hardwick) and Tommy (Joseph Sikora).

Kemp confirmed that the show is ending, and the increased body count in season 5 is an indication of that. The producer teased that the deaths show what the ending of the TV series is going to feel like. The story will continue to focus on how powerless Ghost is going to feel, which should be particularly frustrating for a man who likes to keep everything under control.

“He can’t stop the things he thinks he can stop. In his pursuit of a certain kind of power and a certain kind of life, he can’t help but injure those around him,” Kemp said.

The show was initially planned to end with season 5, but it was extended because of the needs of the network, and Kemp is happy about it too. The story will now be about the domino effect of the choices Ghost and Tommy have made so far. Kemp teased that things can’t go back to the way they were.

Filming of “Power” season 6 is currently underway. Cast members Sikora and Naturi Naughton (Tasha) recently shared pictures of a dinner they had with the other cast members [see below].
