The first sneak peek video of “Power” season 4 has been released online. The scene shows Tasha learning about what happened to her husband from the lawyer, and this makes it a challenge for her to deal with a personal family crises. The following article contains spoilers about last season.

Tasha (Naturi Naughton) was last seen frantically trying to reach her husband over the phone, not realising that he has been arrested, with no access to his phone. While being processed in jail, James (Omari Hardwick) sees his phone ringing, but is not allowed to take the call. He is allowed one phone call, and he will speak to his lawyer Joe Proctor (Jerry Ferrara).

In the clip released online [see below], Joe calls Tasha and informs her that her husband has been arrested by none other than his ex-girlfriend Angela Valdes (Lela Loren). The lawyer doesn’t have a lot of details, and only knows that it is a homicide charge. James is being held at the Manhattan Correctional Center.

The news will hit Tasha hard in “Power” season 4. She gets choked up and explains to the lawyer that her son Tariq (Michael Rainey Jr.) is missing. When questioned what she meant by “missing,” she reveals that he has been kidnapped for ransom.

Joe urges Tasha not to reveal the kidnapping to James. The lawyer explains that James has been through one of the most humiliating experiences of his life, especially the part where he got arrested by his ex-girlfriend in his own nightclub, while everyone watched.

The lawyer further explains that James is in prison right now, so there isn’t much he can do to help Tasha. The news about his son’s kidnapping may only put pressure on him, and prevent him from taking action. Joe needs his client to be mentally prepared to do what is necessary in order to get out of jail quickly. So, the best course of action is to hide the fact that his son has been kidnapped. The main objective right now should be to get bail as soon as possible.

Meanwhile, Tasha has to deal with the kidnapping on her own in “Power” season 4. At the moment, she doesn’t know that Kanan (50 Cent) is still alive, and it was he who kidnapped her son. The villainous character sent a picture of a passed out Tariq, but did not disclose his identity. With all the complications and drama, the plot this year is promising to keep the fans on the edge of their seats.
