Pokemon Sun and Moon Snorlax
"Pokemon Sun and Moon" will see a special Snorlax for early purchase. The Pokemon Company

If latest reports are to be believed, the “Pokemon Sun and Moon” Bank update cannot be more than two weeks away although earlier reports had suggested a January 2017 release. The Pokemon Company does not want to miss their promised release window and hence must release the bank update soon. The Bank update will allow players to make transfers. The Pokemon Bank cloud service will also allow players to store pocket monsters on Nintendo servers.

According to Tech.Mic, these pocket monsters can be traded to any Pokemon game playable on 3DS. This would mean games like eShop version of “Red, Blue and Yellow,” “Omega Ruby and Alpha Sapphire and “Pokemon X and Y” will be able to put the Bank to use. Now that the “Pokemon Sun and Moon” Special Battle Season 2 has started from Jan. 17 and will run up to March 19, the Pokemon Bank update may soon be made available to “Pokemon Sun and Moon.”

The rules for the Special Battle Season 2 have been set and a lot many changes have been implemented like allowing three Pokemon to be used at a time and higher level Pokemon getting reduced to Level 50. “Pokemon Sun and Moon” Legendaries also have a new rule and that is only one Pokemon may hold a spot on a player’s team during Special Battle.

The Pokemon are Mewtwo, Mew, Lugia, Ho-Oh, Celebi, Kyogre, Groudon, Rayquaza, Jirachi, Deoxys, Dialga, Palkia, Giratina, Phione, Manaphy, Darkrai, Shaymin, Arceus, Victini, Reshiram, Zekrom, Kyurem, Keldeo, Meloetta, Genesect, Xerneas, Yveltal, Zygarde, Diancie, Hoopa, Volcanion, Cosmog, Cosmoem, Solgaleo, Lunala, Necrozma, Magearna.

According to Serebii, the “Pokemon Sun and Moon” Special Battle Season 2 will alter stuff so that Pokemon can be included from National Pokedex too. This in turn suggests that the Pokemon Bank update is coming very soon. Stay tuned on IBT AU for more updates on “Pokemon Sun and Moon” Bank Update.
