Pokemon Sun and Moon
"Pokemon Sun and Moon" will have a day/night cycle, new 'mons and new features. The Pokemon Company

Ash’s authentic Pokemon team has been pretty weak, despite the fact that “Pokemon Sun and Moon: The Series” is running in Japan for almost three months now. While Ash got Rowlet at the very beginning of the series, he didn’t really encounter any new Pokemon in the wild ever since. Now latest reports say that Ash didn’t have to encounter any wild Pokemon. Confused? It turns out that Ash simply had to befriend a Pokemon belonging to a friend of his. This week’s episode has been quite interesting as Ash discovered something.

According to WWG, Professor Kukui's Rockruff was spotted disappearing at night by Ash and returning home injured in the morning. Kukui and Ash decided to find the truth and followed Rockruff. Shockingly, they discovered that Rockruff was fighting in an underground Pokemon fight club. He was losing too. The twist in the “Pokemon Sun and Moon: The Series” episode came when Ash, instead of discouraging Rockruff, started training him. Guess what! Rockruff learnt new move, called the Rock Throw.

The training and the new move surely helped Rockruff. It paid off as Rockruff defeated a Magmar, with whom he had lost a previous battle. Kukui was impressed and appreciated the bond between Ash and Rockruff by sending the latter with Ash on the upcoming journeys across the Alola Region. The next “Pokemon Sun and Moon: The Series” episode will see the return of a stray Litten that Ash has encountered several times in the past. This could be a hint about how Ash’s team will expand in future.

To some it may seem odd that Kukui allowed Ash to take away his friend in the latest “Pokemon Sun and Moon: The Series” episode. However, traditionally, regional professionals have given away Pokemon to trainers many a time. Moreover, Ash is still living with Kukui. Therefore, the Pokemon Professor won’t miss his buddy so much. Meanwhile, “Pokemon Sun and Moon” players are enjoying their spoils of victory after the latest Global Mission ended. According to Serebii.net, the next Global Mission starts Feb.28.

“Pokemon Sun and Moon” players are a bit apprehensive as no details of the Global Mission event has been revealed as of now. The only thing that players know is that they have to earn Battle Points from the Battle Tree. Stay tuned on IBT AU for more updates on “Pokemon Sun and Moon” and “Pokemon GO.”
