The Pikachu Cup has recently received some developments, a good news to those who participated. It appears that Pikachu was ranked #3 as the most used Pokemon in the tournament. This means that the Special Pikachu will be given to the participants of the tournament.

One catch to get it is that the players should have participated and played more than three matches. If so, the Special Pikachu Pokemon can be obtained via the Pokemon Global Link. According to Serebii, the trusted Pokemon source, the Special Pikachu will possess quite a number of moves. It should already know the Endeavour move, which cannot usually be learned. It will also have a Hidden Ability as well as possess a Light ball.

Players have until midnight of Oct. 30 to redeem the Special Pikachu via a serial code. The Pikachu Cup was made possible by playing using the “Pokemon Omega Ruby and Alpha Sapphire” or the “Pokemon X and Y.”

For those who have been playing “Pokemon Shuffle,” some new events are slated to hit the game. Specifically, two events will be debuting to keep players busy during the first two weeks of September.

The first event is the return of the Original Safari stage. Here, players will have to enter the stage with no knowledge of which Pokemon they will encounter. The Optimize button will be disabled, and players will need to choose the Pokemon that will be in their team, The Pokemon Company announced via the official “Pokemon Shuffle” website.

Players will need to be careful, since there are Dark- and Grass-type Pokemon in the Safari stage. The good thing is that the stage will be accessible to players until Sept. 14. Players can easily play the stage and again so long as it is within the event period.

Another event to look forward to is the High-Speed Challenge. For the first time, players will face off against the Legendary Pokemon Lugia in “Pokemon Shuffle.” The main challenge is for players to defeat the new Legendary Pokemon in just 30 seconds of battle, amid its disruptive power.

The High-Speed Challenge will run until Sept. 14. The developer has a few tips and recommendations to players who will answer the challenge. For instance, Rock-, Electric- or Ice-type Pokemon can be a good match for the Lugia. Aggressiveness can pay off in this short battle, especially for those who are able to deal successive and numerous attacks to obtain slowly increasing damage.

One good precaution for players—avoid the Quake and Paralyze, as it will not be of any use to the Flying-type Lugia. If possible, the Attack Power up item can double the attack power of a Pokemon. Complementing it with Damage streak can render even the Lugia in a perilous state when used at the right time.
