Pokemon Go Rare

Reddit has been buzzing with fan update regarding the changes done to “Pokemon Go.” The Silph Road, the subreddit that keeps track of changes in the game and more, has been discussing the possibility of increased spawn rates versus the expected nest switch.

Following the speculation, some fans have started giving their input. Some have been sighting and catching Snorlax, either more frequently compared to previous times or even in areas where Pokemon have never even spawned before. Others have seen rare Pokemon spawning.

“Personally, I’ve noticed an increase in rare spawns Thursdays through Sunday for the last 3 weeks,” said one Redditor meme-com-poop. One other Redditor jugglegym has cited a lot of rare finds, including Arcanines, Dragonair, Charmeleon, Kabutops, Nidoqueen, Lickitung and Tauros.

Interestingly, the Thursday timeline has been brought up more than once, with some “Pokemon Go” fans attributing their luck in finding rare ‘mons from that day of the week.

More than increase spawns, it is even possible that there are now spawns from areas where the only the most common ones appear.

“In the past weekend, I have seen some things in sightings at my house that I have never seen before. Normally just Pidgey, Rattata, Eevee, Metapod and Caterpie. This weekend I saw from my house; Snorlax, Pikachu, Abra and a Geodude. None of which I have ever seen even walking or driving around my neighborhood.

Of course, this is all conjecture at this point, as some fans have not seen a change, even with the use of the Pokemon Go Plus accessory.

“I picked up my Go+ yesterday and have encountered roughly 200 Pokemon since. Rarest thing I’ve found—forget captured—is a Meowth, which is fairly uncommon but not unheard of where I found it,” said Redditor foundfrogs.

Developer Niantic Labs has yet to confirm any changes done to rare spawns and their frequency for spawning. However, many are hopeful that this is the case, or at the very least, they would want to see some shuffling done with spawn nests. This will allow players to get some more variety in terms of the Pokemon that they catch.
