August brings two more free games on the PS4, "Tricky Towers" and "Rebel Galaxy," via the PS Plus. PlayStation

Sony has released its list of free games for August via the PlayStation Plus. Players can look forward to playing pirate and going on a building battle with friends.

Announced over the PlayStation Blog, the first game for the PS4 is “Tricky Towers” from WeirdBeard Games. It is a puzzler title that makes use of physics and stacking. There’s a local and online multiplayer mode that lets up to four players enjoy the game.

The second PS4 title is “Rebel Galaxy,” which lets players man a massive destroyer as a mercenary or pirate. “Rebel Galaxy” features a procedurally generated universe, so players won’t be exploring the same star systems. This is probably a great game to enjoy while waiting for “No Man’s Sky.”

For PS3 players, “Yakuza 5” and “Retro/Grade” are available for free. PS Vita will also get “Patapon 3” and “Ultratron,” with the latter also playable on the PS4 and PS3.

PS4 players can also enjoy an ongoing PS Plus Special season pass sale. Over at the PlayStation Store, a couple of titles are offering their bundled season passes for up to 50 percent off.

There are a total of eight season passes offered. Six are essentially for the PS4, while two are for the PS3:

  • “Star Wars Battlefront” season pass (save 30 percent)
  • “The Crew” season pass (save 50 percent)
