Plants vs Zombies 2 release date for Android devices remains a mystery. The game's Twitter account, however, hints there will be some news on the matter soon. iOS device users have been enjoying PvZ 2 since Aug. 15. Here are some tips and Power-Up tricks that players should know.

Plants vs Zombies 2 Release Date for Android Devices

On Twitter, many Android device users are asking when they could play the free Plants vs Zombies 2 app. Many iPhone, iPod touch and iPad users have explored all the new worlds of PvZ 2 by now. But there's still no news on an Android release date. 'Stay tuned,' says the PopCap and EA sources.

Good things come to those who wait, so they say. At least the tweet didn't categorically say the PvZ 2 app will be exclusive to iOS devices only. 'Stay tuned,' then.

Plants vs Zombies 2 Tips

1. Easy on spending your coins. 5,000 coins will set you back $2.99 if you're willing to pay for Plants vs Zombies 2 upgrades. The in-app purchases can be too expensive if you get used to paying for an enhanced gaming experience.

2. Use your Plant Food wisely. Smart timing and creative choices will allow you to maximise your Plant Food. The PvZ 2 tutorial video below is a must-watch. It shows how you can get the best from this special green leaf.

3. Plan ahead. You'll need stars and keys to move forward into the game. The star quests are not as easy as in the first Plants vs Zombies. In fact, you'll be tempted to buy coins to use Upgrades or buy more Plant Food. Plan your moves carefully.

4. Take the Yeti events. Win against a Yeti and you get surprises. In Plants vs Zombies 2, you'll need as many Yeti lunch boxes as you can get.

5. Know your new zombies. You already know how to beat the old ones, now you have to pay attention to the strengths and weaknesses of PvZ 2 enemies. The more familiar they are to you, the easier it will be for you to plan your moves - especially in difficult star quests.
