"Planet of the Apes 3" is one of the most awaited sequels in the coming years. In an interesting plot spoiler, it has been revealed that the villain of "Dawn of the Planet of Apes" could return in "Planet of the Apes 3." In the "Dawn of the Planet of Apes'" climax, Ceaser set Kobo free. It was shown that Kobo was hit by a crane. However, it is not sure whether Kobo died or not. This has led to the possibility that he would return in the sequel.

"I thought that Toby Kebbell (Kobo) gave such an incredible performance. I thought he was so powerful and I thought God you don't find a villain who has got that great a story. Because as you said he was not really formed as a villain, he's really a tragic figure. And I thought God, he's amazing let's leave open the possibility, let's create the door of a possibility if we find a story that becomes worth telling that we can go down that path again because I thought the vein was so rich," said director Matt Reeves to a Chinese site M Times hinting about the possibility of including Kobo in the third part, according to Movie Pilot.

Kobo is considered one of the greatest villains to have been portrayed on the big screen. Going by Reeves statement it is being thought that Kobo can have his own story alongside the war between the apes and the humans. According to Movie Pilot reports Kobo believes that dominant species should take over human beings and his story can add an interesting twist to the "Planet of the Apes 3."

"I actually had been working on a version where you could actually see him (Kobo) survive and I realized that it wasn't -- it was Caesar's movie and it was undercutting the whole idea. It sort of felt cheap. And so as we were mixing I was like I want to just leave one tiny Easter egg right at the end. I want to leave open the door just the tiniest crack. So you found the crack," further said Reeves to the website about possibility of re-introducing Kobo.
