English rock star Paul McCartney will reportedly make a cameo appearance in “Pirates of the Caribbean 5.” The singer and song writer is known for songs like “Live and Let Die,” “We Can Work It Out,” and “Band on the Run.”

According to a report by Variety, directors Joachim Ronning and Espen Sandberg have added an extra scene in the movie for the rock star. Principal photography of the movie has already been completed and the directors are now in the process of putting in the final touches in Vancouver, Canada.

McCartney’s character is said to be the “key” figure in the newly added scene. Details about the character the rock star will play in the movie have still not been revealed. The casting of the rock star will considerably add to the excitement for the movie.

According to a report by Deadline, movie insiders have revealed that the studio is very bullish about “Pirates of the Caribbean 5,” with Ronning and Sandberg at the helm for the first time. Insiders believe the spirit for the forthcoming movie is the same as the spirit for the very first movie from the franchise.

Johnny Depp has been a part of all the four movies from the franchise that have been released so far. He will be reprising his role as Captain Jack Sparrow in the next movie as well.

The main plot of the movie revolves around Jack going on a quest to find the legendary Trident of Poseidon, which gives its wielder power over the seas. Jack will need this weapon to take on the main villain in the movie Captain Salazar (Javier Bardem).

In “Pirates of the Caribbean 5,” Captain Salazar is shown to have just escaped from the Devil’s Triangle. Salazar plans to kill every pirate on the high seas, including Jack Sparrow.
