As Prince Harry and Meghan Markle’s relationship continues to go strong, many have speculated that the royal will bring his girlfriend to the upcoming wedding of 33-year-old Pippa Middleton. And while the nuptials would arguably be the ideal avenue to showcase their relationship, the bride-to-be might not even extend an invitation.

Several reports are claiming that Pippa is establishing a “no ring, no bring” policy for her wedding. This would mean that invited individuals can only bring personal guests if they are married or engaged. Express UK has noted that this will bring the number of overall guests at a minimum. And because there has been no official announcement of Harry’s engagement, Meghan would not be able to attend the ceremony or the reception if the policy will be put into practice.

Last week, Harry and Meghan attended a wedding in Jamaica, as one of the royal’s close friends got married. Photos of the couple immediately surfaced on several online, and a source of Mail Online admitted that it did not please Pippa how the actress stole a lot of the attention away from the bride, Lara, albeit unintentionally. “She saw how all eyes were on Meghan rather than Lara last week,” the source told the publication. “Pippa and her mother Carole wonder whether Meghan’s presence could cause a great deal of unnecessary chaos.”

The publication pointed out as well that Pippa might make an exception for the “Suits” star, as she has been dating Harry for half a year now. Whatever her decision will be will have consequences to her wedding. As such, Pippa will likely look at the situation from all angles to make her day a positively memorable one.

Those close to Pippa have apparently claimed that not inviting Meghan to the wedding will be beneficial to everyone, including the actress. She is currently filming the seventh season of “Suits” and has returned to Toronto to do so. But with the varying reports, it is unlikely that the public will learn the actual guest list until the wedding.

Pippa is marrying hedge fund manager James Matthews on May at St Marks in Berkshire, England. The wedding party and the couple’s guests will travel a few miles afterwards to the Middleton home for the reception. The family grounds are expected to be draped in a luxurious marquee, although the wedding is expected to be a relatively low-key one.
