David Gilmour, Pink Floyd guitarist and singer, created a storm when he said that the band's latest album, The Endless River, will be their final LP. At BBC 6 Music's Matt Everitt, he swore that it would be the last thing that would be out from them. The record, "The Endless River," is a tribute to Rick Wright, their keyboard player, who died in 2008.

Gilmour felt that everyone underestimated Wright. The public, the media and even his own group "I hate to say," Gilmour added, according to BBC. The album will hit the public market in November and will have some material that was recorded by Wright before he died as a well-known 65-year-old. Gilmour confessed to BBC that he did not always "give him his proper due." People take different attitudes to the way they work. He admitted that people can become "very judgemental" and feel that "someone was not pulling his weight enough, without realising that their's is a different weight to pull." But their drummer Nick Mason added that it was a good opportunity to recognize and keep Wright in mind, and perhaps give him a tribute at some other time, he said to BBC.

One number in the album that is the only one which exhibits vocals will be "Louder Than Words." A radio rip via Stereogum makes it clear.

In 1965, Pink Floyd was formed when Syd Barrett, Nick Mason, Roger Waters, and Richard Wright came together. Gilmour joined the band in 1967. But Barrett dropped out one year after that, because he suffered from mental health problems. They released the most influential albums of the 20th century, by coming out with "The Dark Side of the Moon," "The Wall" and "Wish You Were Here."

"The Endless River" has lyrics written by lead singer Dave Gilmour's wife, writer Polly Samson. There will be recordings from Richard Wright. The missing member, Robert Waters, had a "strained" relationship and major personality clashes over the years, which made him leave the band in 1985. So he isn't part of the group anymore, as he emphasizes repeatedly. "I have nothing to do with Endless River. Phew! This is not rocket science people, get a grip," he fumes. The Endless River is created from some leftover recordings made for their last album, 1994's The Division Bell. Check out the list and descriptions of some forthcoming numbers here.
