The coming Chinese New Year is the Year of the Dragon, also known to others as the 'Black Dragon' or 'Water Dragon.'

People are excited as today, Jan. 23, marks the first day of the 2012 Chinese Lunar New Year.

It will be the 4709th Chinese New Year and tradition says that this is a special time of reuniting, forgetting grudges and giving good wishes, peace and happiness for everyone.

Since the Dragon is garmented with mystical colors, the Chinese consider it to be unpredictable and untouchable. Therefore, predictions say some surprising scenes will happen in 2012. Nevertheless, the Year of the Dragon will be enjoyed with excitement and splendor.
