Peugeot has lifted the veil on its newest 3008 C-SUV. The result is an astounding blend of redesign inside and outside, giving the Peugeot 3008 a refined yet fiercer look among its class.

The design is meant to set the Peugeot 3008 apart from its fellow SUV contenders, both for its innards and its overall design. In a press release, Peugeot stated that it makes use of the latest generation of the Peugeot i-Cockpit, presenting the driver with his own techie niche for a futuristic but driver-friendly experience.

This is coupled with a redesigned steering wheel for better grip, an eight-inch touchscreen, toggle switches for easy access to controls and a customisable instrument unit that can be configured depending on the driver’s needs.

Outside, the Peugeot 3008 bears what the carmaker insists to be an “inspired exterior design.” Compared to previous Peugeot 3008 designs, it does bring out a certain fierce and sporty quality to the overall look. Among the noticeable changes include wide protective bands, raised ground clearance, a high waist line, large wheels and shaped roof bars.

As far as the driving controls and aids go, the Peugeot 3008 has all the basics down pat. It boasts the Active Safety Brake and Distance Alert, driver attention warning, automatic adaptive headlamp main-beam, Adaptive Cruise Control and active blind spot monitoring.

The Peugeot 3008 has aimed to differentiate itself even from its predecessor. Gizmag reported that the new one offers four petrol modes and five diesel options. Thanks to 100 kg off of its body, efficiency and driving performance is said to be improved.

The Peugeot 3008 will be featured at the next Paris Motorshow in September. According to the company, this will be the SUV’s first public appearance before its worldwide launch and sale come October. Pricing for the Peugeot 3008 is yet to be announced.
