“Persona 5” will be released sometime in April for Australia, the US and European territories. It is now available for pre-order in Australia.

The game was already released in Japan in September 2016. However, globally, it will be released sometime in April. It will be the sixth instalment of the “Persona” series franchise. This game was part of the “Shin Megami Tensei” franchise. Although “Persona 5” does not include the “Shin Megami Tensei” moniker, the game still follows a single player role-playing game.

Storyline

In this upcoming RPG, the game is played by a single player that makes use of a silent protagonist, who is a high school student attending a school in Tokyo. However, underneath the life of a typical high school student, there is a group of teenagers who have to mask their alter egos, which are known as their “phantom thief” side. No one knows who they are and why they are dressed in a certain way. However, “Persona 5” offers a coming-of-age story to bringing more interesting information about the identities of the group of teenagers.

Gameplay

After almost a decade of developing this game, “Persona 5” will offer following high school students that have supernatural powers instead of the previous game offerings. “Persona 3” and “Persona 4” focused on a group of teenagers that solved mysteries of the secret paramilitary ghost fighters and solving other mysteries respectively. In “Persona 5,” however, players will follow a group of burglars with powers.

Game review

According to the Japanese release of the game, there are a lot of surprises as well as twists and turns included in the game. A review from IGN stated that after playing at least 80 hours of the game still brings in surprises. The story and the personalities of the characters bring in a lot of new information in the game. In addition to the storyline, the game also offers great aesthetics along with new mechanics and soundtracks.

Release date and price

Along with the US and European countries, “Persona 5” will be released in Australia on April 4. The game is currently available for pre-order on EBGames for $99.95 in the Steelbook edition. Australian buyers can also pre-order the game for a cheaper price on the Mighty Ape website for $89.99. The game also has two editions including the Take Your Heart edition and the Steelbook edition. The former edition is a premium version of the game’s collectible items like a soundtrack CD, Morgana plushie, schoolbag, collector's box, an art book and the Steelbook edition of the game. The Steelbook edition simply has the steel CD cover. This game will be available for both PS3 and PS4 users.
