'Perks of Being a Wallflower' Emma Watson Takes New York Times by Storm [PHOTOS]
"Harry Potter's" Hermione Granger has now evolved into a not-so-ordinary looking muggle.
From packing up from Hogwarts to taking Hollywood by storm, Watson is proving to be not just another pretty face in the business. With a lot of film projects lined up, the 22-year old British actress still has a lot of time to strike a pose on New York Times Style Magazine.
The stars of the beloved and world renowned wizardly film, "Harry Potter" have grown up before the eyes of their fans. Some may still be mourning the loss of such a popular book series but because all good things come to an end, something greater comes out of it. Right after playing the role of a know-it-all, Emma is set to play a role the total opposite of Hermione Granger in "Perks of Being a Wallflower."
The highly anticipated film adaptation of Stephen Chobsky's novel is set for a September 21 release. This has already got Watson fans antsy in all anticipation. Yet, there's another film Emma is set to star in that challenges all the stereotypical drama of actors and their roles. Emma is set to play Nikki in Sofia Coppola's "Bling Ring".
Before anyone thinks the film roles end there, Emma is set to star in another film by Guillermo del Toro as the Beauty in "Beauty and the Beast" plus another film with Logan Lerman in "Noah". Watson is one busy girl and she still has time to do a bit of music collaborations and fashion shows on the side.
"I guess weirdly in my head I knew what I wanted, I didn't know how it would or if it would ever happen. But before Bling Ring, I said I'd really wanted to meet Sofia Coppola and-this is before I knew that she had a film in mind-ended up meeting her. And Darren [Aronofsky] was someone who actually I met a good year ago," explains Watson.
"And then I'm doing a film with Guillermo [del Toro] next summer, and I went to him and said Warner Brothers have given me the script for Beauty and the Beast, but the only way I'd really want to do it is if you did it. And then miraculously he said, 'Oh, funnily enough Beauty and the Beast is my favorite fairy tale, I can't let anyone else do this, I'll start putting a team together,'" added the actress.
Well, with half a year over, Emma is sure to get even more projects up her end. Now, "Perks" plus her said musical collaboration are two things everyone has got their eyes set on.
