Getting ready for the show's upcoming season, "Penny Dreadful" star Billie Piper was spotted on Friday, Jan. 9, wearing a Victorian style costume while shooting the latest instalment of the show. Known for her role as Irish immigrant Brona Croft, Piper was photographed wearing a long grey printed skirt matched with high-neck pink blouse and black leather ankle boots.

The actress was spotted again on Monday, Jan. 12, as she takes a break from filming and took her son Eugene for a walk in London. Married to fellow actor Laurence Fox, the mother and son looked happy and relaxed as they enjoyed a precious time together in a London park.

Wearing her hair loose, the actress was wearing a set of black aviators and a large fluffy brown coloured coat with ripped jeans. Her two-year-old son looked comfy in a green coloured jacket as he rode on his yellow bicycle around the park while his mom is cheering on him.

Acting alongside "James Bond" star Eva Green (Vanessa Ives), the 32-year-old actress was filming in Ireland after the show premiered its 43-second teaser on Wednesday, Jan. 7. The short clip opened with Vanessa making a voice-over of how she learned to turn her curse into a blessing and make use of her gifts to her advantage.

Produced by Sam Mendes, the new trailer titled "A Curse And A Blessing" also features blood splatter on a wooden floor in the shape of a red lobster, while a creepy hand is reaching out of a tub. Created for Showtime and Sky thanks to writer John Logan, "Penny Dreadful" is a gothic period drama that features the story of several infamous horror figures like Frankenstein, Dracula and Dorian Grey.

"The new season will see Vanessa (Eva Green) and Ethan (Josh Hartnett) forming a deeper bond as the group, including Sir Malcolm (Timothy Dalton), Dr. Frankenstein (Harry Treadaway), and Sembene (Danny Sapani), unite to banish the evil forces that threaten to destroy them," according to "Penny Dreadful" Season 2 synopsis. "Meanwhile, Dorian Gray (Reeve Carney), the Creature (Rory Kinnear) and Brona (Billie Piper) are all waging battles of their own."

"Penny Dreadful" Season 2 returns to the small screen on Sunday, April 26 at 10 p.m. ET/PT. Check out the full trailer courtesy of "Penny Dreadful."
