Roger Rodas, the man alleged to be driving the car in the unfortunate crash that killed him and actor Paul Walker. So the budding query in the mind is who was Roger Rodas? Keep reading on as we have compiled ample information about him.

Roger Rodas left behind his family which includes 38-year old wife Kristine Rodas and two children. Roger Rodas was born on October 31, 1975 in El Salvador. According to his World Challenge profile, he was a native of El Salvador but resided in California. Rodas and Walker got together at a California race club according to Merrill Lynch website. They shared the common interests as both were Porsche enthusiasts and great philanthropists. Earnestly involved in philanthropy, Rodas initially founded a charity of his own, "The Asomugha Foundation" and then co-founded with Walker "Reach Out Worldwide" all the way through his racing accomplishments.

"Becoming a foundation means it can accept donations, which in turn allows Paul to scale up his philanthropy," said Rodas in an interview with Merrill Lynch.

"Instead of just writing a check, we're seeing how much more bang for the buck we can get by giving of ourselves and spending every dollar on the cause. As tragic as the disasters are, people consistently rise above the bleakness by focusing on what they still have. It gives you a lot of hope," stated Walker of their philanthropic initiatives.

The duo further co-founded Always Evolving, a performance shop and in recent times they have launched Always Evolving fashion division. Rodas was working as managing director of wealth management for Bank of America Merrill Lynch. According to his LinkedIn profile, he was accredited on Barron's list of "America's top 1,000 advisers" from 2010 to 2012 in a row. Walker was his client according to his Merrill Lynch portfolio.

The reason behind Rodas being deeply asociated with car racing posted on fabwags.com: "I started racing when my best friend in the world was diagnosed with Lung Cancer. We wanted to pursue our lifelong passion and went to Bonduraunt 3 times while he was being treated to keep his mind off his battle. The other day in Austin at Circuit of the Americas I was signing autographs as a Pro Driver in Pirelli World Challenge and Bob Bondaraunt sat next to me to sign autographs as well. We talked about how I started at his school and he remembered my friend Gerald and how he was racing with stage 4 cancer at his school. Bob asked for my autograph. I could feel Gerald laughing at me from heaven and saying "don't let it go to your head."

He had been extremely innovative and developed 'waste to energy power plants' and also has formed "Cielo Recycling"; a Central American recycling plant. He was also captain of his racing team and Walker was listed as a driver on the team, as stated on the team's website.

On Sunday "Always Evolving" posted a message on its Facebook page: "Thank you all for your condolences and prayers while we mourn the loss of our loved ones."
