As a parent, there are so many core habits for kids that your child should learn. However, some practices will help your kid establish so that they grow up to become independent and well-rounded individuals who can merge well with society.

1. Table manners

Children should be taught to exercise basic dining manners, such as chewing with their mouths closed, not burping and not to pick on their food. They should also be taught how to say grace at the table and to eat everything on their plate.

2. Money saving

Parents should start financial core habits for kids, like saving, so that they understand the value of money and how to spend wisely. Parents can start a saving account for their children and encourage them to save a fixed portion of money they receive. Children can also be taught how to work for money or the things they want to instill the value of hard work.

3. Eating healthy

Parents should teach nutritional core habits for kids such as eating a healthy low-fat diet. Keep your kids away from junk food and fat-laden treats. Provide each of their meals with vegetables, lean meat and complex carbohydrates. Along with eating healthy, children can be taught how to stay physically fit through sports and exercise.

4. Good hygiene

Parents should teach their child how to have proper hygiene all day long. Create a routine for them to follow such as brushing their teeth at least twice a day, taking a bath daily, combing their hair and changing dirty clothes. Let them pick their own clothes while shopping so that they feel more inclined to stay clean and look good.

5. Sharing

Children should be educated about the value of sharing and how well others respond to kind deeds. Sharing should begin in the home with the child's siblings. Later on, children can be taken to places like orphanages and disaster relief programs so that they learn how to help others at a young age.

All these core habits for kids will help your child become a kind and responsible adult in the future.
