In order to play out their sick fetishes and treat them subsequently, paedophiles may be provided with robots resembling young children.

The child sex robots would allow would-be offenders to carry out their illegal desires legally. Even though many experts believe that these robots resembling children will treat the paedophiles and help protect children, some are of the opinion that the sex-bots will do more harm than good. The child sex robots may also be used in the same way methadone is used to cure heroin addicts, reports Mirror.

“Child-like robots could be used for paedophiles the way methadone is used to treat drug addicts. There are no presumptions that this will assuredly yield positive results – I only believe it is worth investigating in a controlled way to possibly provide better protection to society from recidivism in sex offenders. If we can save some children, I think it’s a worthwhile project,” Georgia Tech's Mobile Robot Lab director, Ron Arkin, had told Forbes in 2014.

It would be worthwhile if the child sex robots are really able to save children from sex abuse. Rubber child dolls are being widely purchased online so that people can carry out their deviant sexual desires.

Founder of Japanese firm Trottla, Shin Takagi, said that his controversial rubber creations help people express their desires ethically and legally. He believes it is not living if someone lives with repressed desires. Takagi claims that his company’s lifelike dolls for those who, like him, struggle with sexual attraction towards children.

Trottla makes dolls of children resembling as young as five years. Takagi believes there is no way to change someone’s fetishes. He said his dolls save children from sexual abuse and men who buy the dolls from his company thank him for his services. Takagi described most of his clients as men who are alone, reported The Atlantic.
